About Patrick Miller

Patrick has thirty years of experience in finance with the last eight years of his career serving as CEO of CBC Federal Credit Union located in Oxnard, California.  He installed CBC’s Core Values “Make It Right, Make it Easy, and Make it Personal”, establishing a service oriented culture that lives on today as a brand promise with its 27,000 members.  During his tenure the credit union doubled membership, increased loan volumes more than 450%, and increased Net Promoter Scores more than 35%.  Today, he is a Customer Experience Coach.

While at CBC, he simultaneously served as Treasurer for CU-Rise – a data analytics firm based in Vienna, Virginia.  Patrick led several credit unions to be joint partners and investors in CU-Rise; and was a leading spokesperson to other credit unions to adopt predictive analytics as a tool to deliver better quality service, increased product usage, and higher member loyalty.  CU Rise has experienced extremely rapid growth and is a recognized leader helping credit unions nationwide with their marketing, lending, and member service decisions.

Prior to serving CBC and CU-Rise, Patrick served for eight years at Navy Federal Credit Union.  As Vice President of Branch Operations, he led the “Above & Beyond” Project, which blended data analytics and soft skills training for front line staff to deliver a more fulfilling member experience.  Membership growth, product sales, and member satisfaction all achieved record levels under his leadership.  While at Navy Federal, he also led the development and creation of a wholly owned Broker Dealer and Registered Investment Advisory Firm, as a Vice President for Navy Federal Financial Group.  Patrick previously served in Sales and Service executive positions for the Colorado Credit Union League, SELCO Community Credit Union in Eugene, Oregon, and CUNA Mutual Group.

Patrick is a past President of the Rotary Club of Newbury Park, former Chair for the Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation, and was appointed by California Governor Edmund G. Brown to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities – Central Coast Advisory Committee.  A proponent of regulatory relief and expanding consumer choice and literacy for all; he testified before the House Financial Services Committee on the topic of “Preserving Consumer Choice and Financial Independence”.
